This Handbook is designed to provide comprehensive information about Siskiyou Community College District policies, procedures, support, and resources specific to distance learning.

Handbook Goals

Articulate the mission and goals for distance learning, especially as they pertain to the College's Institutional Master Plan.
Inform faculty about the mandatory policies and procedures that relate to distance learning courses.
Define course design and delivery standards that are consistent with our status as a California Virtual Campus (CVC) Exchange College.
Define the faculty expectations within the distance learning environment.
Provide technical support information and resources for faculty teaching Online Anytime, Online Live, Hybrid Anytime, Hybrid Live, and Videoconference courses.
Provide instructional design support information and resources for Online Anytime, Online Live, Hybrid Anytime, and Hybrid Live courses.
Offer comprehensive resources for ongoing faculty professional development.

This Handbook is organized as an online Canvas shell using modules, so as to furnish information in a navigable and accessible format that can easily allow for supplementation and revision as policies and procedures develop and change.
