Films On Demand is a collection of over 26,500 streaming videos that can be used with any COS class.

General notes

Each Films On Demand video program is divided into shorter segments. You can provide access to an entire program or to a specific segment. Segments will have different links and embed code than the entire program.
You can provide access using a link to the video or by embedding the video in a Canvas page.
Students do not need to log in to view Films On Demand videos embedded in Canvas.
Films On Demand allows for an unlimited number of simultaneous users.
All films are captioned and most provide an additional transcript.

Embedding videos

Canvas makes using Films On Demand videos with your class extremely easy. There are two ways that you can embed videos in Canvas: using the Rich Text Editor app or using the HTML Editor and embed code. Students do not need to log in to view embedded Films On Demand videos from off campus.

Linking to videos

You can link to a video in addition to (or instead of) embedding it. Please note that students will need to log in to view the video if they are off campus and accessing the video via a link.
